IS ODA A FAN OF TOM AND JERRY OR IS HE JUST A CHEATER?
Hi everyone and welcome back to another theory. Now today as you can probably tell by the topic the theory is gonna be really interesting. Its not a theory that just just lies within the plot of one piece but goes out to Tom and Jerry a show that all of you have watch. I don't think there would be anyone who hasn't. Alright now, without any further ado, lets get right into it.
So to start off, lets see when both of these shows were released,
Tom And Jerry was released in 1940, and One piece was released in 1999 which means, by the time Tom and Jerry was done airing One Piece hadn't even started..Now, Clearly there must be a reason..Did Oda not grow up watching Tom and Jerry? Doubt it because at that time Tom and Jerry was still in trend. And so what you have really been waiting for...Oda loves Tom and Jerry and grew up watching it, "Actually that makes a lot of sense because I remember reading an interview where Oda said he loved Tom and Jerry's cartoony art style when he was a kid and that's why he gave luffy the gum gum fruit, for that sort of cartoony stretchy art style." And that gives us our answer. With that said he probably got permission form tom and jerry to use such an art style.
