What is your favorite moment from One Piece (anime)?

Note: Feels guaranteed. Be prepared for it!

I love One Piece for it's emotional moments, badass moments and everyone's backstory!

Here's a list of my favorite moments:

Emotional Moments:

1. Brook sings Bink's Booze:

Brook's crew was dying one by one so they started singing a song for Laboon (whale) whom they promised to return to at the entrance of the Grand Line, but now unable to do so as they are all going to die in the sea. They recorded this song for Laboon so that Brook can deliver it to Laboon as he posses the Devil Fruit of coming back to life once dead.

2. Robin says, “I want to live. Take me back to sea with you.":

Caught by the world government, Robin knew that she cannot be saved now. But Luffy and his crew fights the world government and comes to rescue her because they consider her their nakama.

3. Nami Sulking from Arlong:

She worked as Arlong's navigator as Arlong promised her that he will leave her village but later declares that he tricked her.

4. Going Merry's Funeral:

Straw hats ship fought through thick-and-thin, and had helped them get to where they were. Even if it was an inanimate object, Merry still had spirit in her. This was a very sad moment, even for Usopp. Heck, after what Usopp was going through, it's no wonder. He even left the crew to make sure Merry pulls through, and she didn't. Usopp still held strong, though. Very touching to see his relationship burn away like that. Only Oda can make us cry at a boat.

5. The Straw Hats get Separated:

After challenging the World Government, Kuma turns out to be too powerful for the Straw Hats and the crew is forced to become separated for 2 years.

6. Death of Ace:

Ace is the son of late Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. Caught by the world government, he is supposed to be executed publicly. So Whitebeard, luffy and many others rages a war against the world government. But in turn of protecting Luffy from Admiral Akainu, Ace dies.

7. The Flag of Conviction:

This was a really inspiring moment for me. It really defined Luffy's character and resolve. The way he says that this is a flag you devote your life too. It's a symbol of conviction and that's why you will never destroy it, was a real awe inspiring moment. It really defined what a true pirate was.

8. Straw Hat's farewell to Vivi:

The Straw Hat's farewell to Vivi was really emotional. The way they told her that no matter where they go and no matter how far they are they would always be friends was a great moment that you can do nothing but smile.

9. Luffy vs Usopp:

Usopp challenges Luffy as he decides to leave Going Merry ship, with which Usopp has got attached to, and get a new one as it's totally damaged. But as Usopp is very weak compared to Luffy, he is defeated in a single punch though Usopp plans the fight strategically well. Later Luffy cries for having to hurt his nakama and leaving Going Merry forever.

10. Corazon's Death:

Corazon fights for Law till the end to make him safe from Doflamingo.

Badass Moments:

Zoro's sacrifice:
Zoro asks Bartholomew Kuma to kill Zoro in place of Luffy as no one is in a fighting condition and Kuma must take Luffy as he has a very high bounty on his head. Kuma, amused by this, asks Zoro to survive the pain-ball of Luffy in exchange of leaving everyone alive which leaves Zoro bleeding to near death.

2. March to Franky's House: Usopp has been beaten very badly and all his money has been stolen. Luffy and his nakama barges into Franky's house for revenge.

3. Luffy challenges the World Government:

Nico Robin, caught by the world government, is destined to die. Luffy and his crew challenges the world government (which means death) in order to save Robin!

4. Shanks looses his arm for kid Luffy and later gives him his straw hat:

Luffy is attacked by a sea monster but Shanks saves him in time but has to sacrifice his left arm. Later he offers Luffy his own Straw Hat and aks him to return it to him only after being a great pirate some day.

5. Luffy defeats Pacifista:

After 2 years of training, Luffy learns how to use Haki and defeats Pacisfista (whom the whole crew couldnt defeat together) as if it was nothing.

6. Luffy's Conqueror Haki moments in Luffy vs 10,000 Fishman, War etc:

Conqueror Haki is possessed by one in a million person which has the blood of the king. When used, the neighboring beings will become unconscious if they posses a weak will.

7. When Rayleigh and Borsalino fights on par with Kizaru:

8. Edward Newgate (Whitebeard)'s Death:

He sustained 267 sword wounds, 152 gunshot wounds, and 46 wounds from cannonballs, and got half of his head blasted off, resulting in 465 injuries in total. In addition, Whitebeard was on the receiving end of one of Kizaru's laser beams and two of Akainu's magma blasts. However, even after taking so much damage in his already weakened state, he died standing, an impressive feat when compared to other characters

Tenryuubito kills Hatchan with a gun. Being a world nobel, he doesnt anticipates Luffy to punch him in the face (which resulted in a terrible counter attack by the admirals.

Best backstories:

Brook's Story - Year's of loneliness:
Brook's crew was defeated and unable to continue their adventure, only leaving a few survivors and his dream was ruined. The doctors on the ship were already dead so no one could save them. However, Brook didn't need saving because he ate the revive fruit which will make him live again. In the end Brook, played one last song with his crew while he watched them die, just to live again for years on a lonely ship.

2. Nico Robin's Story - Hunted since her childhood: Robin just wanted to be an archaeologist like the others in her village, but when she finds confidential information, the marines come and destroy her village along with the island's research. The marines kill her mother and a giant who was the only person who she can call a friend. The government labeled Robin as a "demon child" and she could never have a normal childhood after that.

4. Nami's backstory:

Arlong and his crew ruled over Nami's village. They would come in and take what they want with no questions asked. It wasn't until Arlong killed Nami's adopted mother and captured her so Nami could join Arlong's crew to create maps and become a slave.

5. Zoro's backstory - Zoro and Kuina:

Zoro was motivated to defeat Kuina in swordsmanship since his childhood. But in her childhoos itself, she died of falling from the staircase.

6. Fisher Tiger and the Sun Pirates:

Fisher Tiger created the Sun Pirates, to free the slaves whether they were human, fishmen, he saved them all and was still hated. When Tiger rescued and returned a little girl named Koala back to her village, he was shot down and killed because he was a fishmen. His death turned Fishmen island upside down and the fishmen's hatred grew for humans.
